Chef John is currently the Regional Corporate Sushi Chef for the SUSHISAMBA locations in Miami, Coral Gables, and Las Vegas. At the age of sixteen, Chef John moved from Seoul, South Korea to the U.S. to further his knowledge in Japanese cuisine and sushi. Seventeen years later, he has made a name for himself with his ability to seamlessly transform ingredients into an art form.
After getting to know Chef John and seeing him while in his element we undeniably think that he is one of the most talented, admirable, and hippest chefs in the city.
Chef John brings vibrant and elegant visuals to the table by expressing his present feelings while plating. It’s as if he’s creating a painting using the plate as his canvas. As he explains, “The art of the plating comes from the expression of myself and all around me.”
We also assure that the food tastes as exquisite as it looks. SUSHISAMBA combines flavors from Japan, Brazilian, and Peruvian food which will give you one of the most unique dining experience in the city.
